The Drop

The Drop is a brand new fan-made podcast, launched just this week across Podbean, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. You can listen to a new episode every other Wednesday and we’ll share the episodes across the Moonstone social media accounts to remind you!

The Hosts

Angerboda by David Walsh.

Ian Neilson, a competitive Pokemon player who had the first fully painted Shades Kickstarter pledge in the world… well that’s what they claim anyway! Ian is their fact checker and will try to calm some of the wilder claims and is also the most Scottish sounding person you will hear on a podcast.

Alex Gibson, dubbed the equivalent of Splinter to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - he was there in the beginning! He is the calm voice of reason, tactics and synergies. He is one of those Moonstone players who even has metal moonstone figures from the original Kickstarter.

David Walsh, says he “is a very average gamer” and asks lots of questions, but loves painting, especially Moonstone minis. Mainly a Dominion player but slowly building a collection of commonwealth, David says he can be blamed for any bad jokes and dodgy editing!

The Drop troupe haven’t podcast-ed before but have learned a lot already, for example the sound in first full episode (Dusk Till Dawn) is far better than in the Pilot episode. Not every episode will feature all three of them, and you can look forward to hearing some guests pop up too!

Season One

Season one started on Wednesday 5th March and will run until October. Each episode will run about 45-60 minutes and they plan to upload an episode on the first and third wednesday of each month for the duration of the season. However, through March they will be uploading a show every Wednesday:

  • 5th March: The Pilot and Episode 1 - Dusk Till Dawn

  • 12th March: Episode 2 - Life & Death Struggle

  • 19th March: Episode 3 - Troupe Building and Character Archetypes

  • 26th March: Episode 4 - Outlanders
