The Shade of It All
The Shades of Moonreach are coming to Kickstarter on Tuesday 10th October!
You can either send us your email address or ‘watch’ the Kickstarter campaign page to be alerted as soon as it’s live.
This is the fifth Kickstarter that we’ve run and will fund multiple box sets released together, so you can field an entire Shades troupe with choice and variety equivalent to existing factions. Backers will get all the new box sets first, along with Kickstarter Exclusive items, save a little money and help support the ongoing development and growth of the game. We’ve got a long list of stretch goals planned too and we’ll keep you updated on how the campaign is progressing.

How the Shades Fit into the Lore

Centuries ago King Chernitt’s terrible rule was violently halted by an explosion that sent the despotic sovereign to the Deadlands and buried his court deep underground. There his court have remained in the deep dark, plotting their return and holding revelries that only the undying can truly enjoy.
Around a year ago, Chernitt was accidentally arisen by the wizards known as the Elrich, and he released his court from their underground prison. He has also begun bringing faithful servants back from the Deadlands, dragging spiritual servants known as psychopomps with them, caught in the tide of magic. The psychopomps cause chaos wherever they materialise. Together, they are known as the Shades of Moonreach.
Now, the Shades are collecting moonstones and no one is quite sure why. Perhaps it’s so that Chernittt can raise more followers from the Deadlands? Or perhaps he has something grander in mind?
